Overview

Hypershift is a cloud-synced productivity application. When you create an account, your data (tasks, notes, tags) is stored securely in the cloud via Convex and synced across your devices in real time. Calendar data from connected Google or Microsoft accounts is processed through our servers to enable integration features.

Data We Collect

  • Account information: When you sign up, we store your email address, name, and authentication credentials.
  • Task, note, and tag data: When you sign in, your tasks, notes, and tags are stored in our cloud database (powered by Convex) to enable multi-device sync. This data is associated with your account.
  • Calendar data: If you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, we access your calendar events to display them within the app. This data is processed on our servers to sync with your account but is not shared with third parties.
  • OAuth tokens: When you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, we store encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain your calendar connection. These tokens allow us to read and write calendar events on your behalf.
  • Usage data: We may collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the product.

How We Use Your Data

  • We do not access your data for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose beyond providing the Hypershift service.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Hypershift integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Convex: For real-time cloud data sync and storage (governed by Convex's Privacy Policy).
  • Google: For social authentication (Google Sign-In) and Google Calendar integration. When connected, we request access to read and write your calendar events (governed by Google's Privacy Policy).
  • Microsoft: For social authentication (Microsoft Sign-In) and Outlook calendar integration. When connected, we request access to read and write your calendar events (governed by Microsoft's Privacy Policy).
  • Turso/LibSQL: For authentication database storage (governed by Turso's Privacy Policy).
  • Vercel: For hosting and deployment.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the Settings page or by contacting us. Clearing your browser's site data will remove locally cached data but will not affect your cloud-synced data. To request complete data deletion, please contact us.
